Her demeanor was straight forward and engaging. She was able to present complicated concepts in a simple and concise manner. The children were motivated, engaged, enthusiatic, and attentive.
I would highly recommend her to present workshops to children and adults.
CARLA TURNER

Norfolk, VA -April 2012
Literacy Coach Carla Turner said she I have never seen my students be as engaged in any of the previous guest speakers. I was overwhelmed when all one hundred of my students were engaged and enthusiastic. I was elated. I would like Courtney Grubert to come back and lecture to my students again.
LORI IRWIN
Director Financial Stability, United Way
Norfolk, VA -August 2011
Ms. Grubért has been instrumental in establishment and staffing of a financial education class with the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Community. Through her leadership, young women who live in public housing receive not only the information they need to gain greater control over their financial affairs, but they also receive a message of hope.
Ms. Grub'ert actively encourages the participants to make a fresh financial start and to consider choices they can make to help them achieve their dreams of self-sustainability and independent living.
By pairing financial education with practical strategies for applying the concepts to daily living, Ms. Grub'ert offers these participants oppourtunities to break the power that poverty has established in their lives and to take control over their financial decisions.
Without the help of volunteer efforts like those provided by Ms. Grub'ert, the Financial Stability Coalition convened by the United Way of South Hampton Roads could not achieve the community impact it has. We are excited to consider the impact in the lives of those women that Ms. Grub'ert has touched.
